… but quite a few left to go.
My check-up today was the best news I’ve had in recent times. The X-Rays looked really good, no shadows or anything that shouldn’t be there. My spirometer test impressed the doctor – my results were actually better than what can be expected with 20% less lung tissue to start with. He liked my slightly rounder bod’
(No, no – he checked my chart and saw that I’ve gained 5+ kgs. Get your mind out of the gutter!)
and urged me to continue exercising the way I have. I intend to – even if it’s going to be on the trails around town!
I also decided to visit some relatives down along the coast, so I may be posting only sporadically the next few days. MIght as well seize the opportunity to do that, since I really am in no hurry to return home just now.

Great news.

I’m glad for some positive news.
I just found out today that a friend (barely 40) that has survived 2 different breast cancers in the last 5 years has a brain tumor. This on the day when we’re scattering the ashes of another friend.
We really need to get serious about environmental toxins–all of this cannot be coincidence.

Going in for this check-up, I sort of knew that everything would be fine – but I needed the doctor to tell me that. After all, I feel fine and as long as I can maintain my present weight I don’t think I need to worry.
Jenn – it sure makes you wonder… I know why I ended up getting lung cancer (smoking), but prior to that I have also had breast cancer. Send my bestest and warmest regards to your friend.
