After all the different shades of white, grey and black I’ve seen all day, I needed to reassure myself that there are other colours in the world. This is a picture I shot right about the time my life was turned upside down back in August. My tears disturbed the beautiful blue surface on the water that day…
Today it’s another kind of sad I feel. Not the crying-because-I-miss-kind but rather sad-because-so-much-could’ve-been-different-but-now-I-wouldn’t-want-it-kind. Now, please don’t ask me to explain that – suffice to say that you get to think an awful lot while driving 500+ kms with a sleeping teenager!
The meeting with the people at the Migration Bard went well and I was really impressed with the closing comments by the lawyer. We won’t know the outcome of this hearing until somewhere around the end of year… Yes, the lawyer can act on the decision from the Migration Board even that I’ll be out of the country at the time.
I don’t know if this is appropriate – both -H- and -B- are Moslems – but can you all send a thought to the deity of your choice that they will be able to stay in Sweden?
This is a wealthy country and our own population is getting older – at a frightening rate. We need young people to move here to ensure that the nativity rate remains at an acceptable level. Swedes normally only have 1.whatever child and that’s not enough even to maintain the present population. I know these are impopular opinions in a lot of circles (YES! There are bigots and idiots in this country, as well! Surprised? Not me!) but I needed to get this said.
