Took off yesterday morning for a short trip across the border to Norway with my niece. We ended up in Rognan – just so I could smell the sea for a few hours… and… oh well – it’s all part of the package.
On the way back to Sweden, we went by Junkerdal where I found this beautiful field.
Does anyone know the meaning of its’ name – Common tancy?
In the next few days I’ll post pictures from a wonderful trek we did along a jokk (creek in Sami) on the Swedish side of the border. That was after we had pitched the tent and had supper close to the road but secluded enough that we felt almost alone.
I so envy you. I have this big trip planned to Sweden, Norway, Finland and Latvia, and not a penny to turn it from a plan to a reality.
Good thing I can live vicariously through your photos!

I’m glad you like the pictures! Unfortunately, I managed to accidentally remove the rear bumper on my car (don’t ask how!) while in Rognan, so I kind of forgot about taking more pictures… I stuck it back in place and now the car is in the shop. Good thing that so much of modern cars is made from fibreglass – a metal bumper would have been junked.
