Remember back in October when I posted pictures from The Sami Culture Week? Well, yesterday evening the artist knocked on my door and delivered this:
Bone formed to fit around my wrist, hand-carved and polished to a beautiful lustre. In years gone by the black was soot from the fireplace, but nowadays I think they use some type of dye. I particularily like how the bone looks so alive because it isn’t just one colour.
