Loki

Filed under: Loki — allmycke @ 9:24 pm

My dear dog had a seizure today. I can’t be sure, but I think it was epilepsy. He lost control over his legs, became spastic, drooled and was very agitated. It was over within three or maybe four minutes after I got him up on my bed where I could pet him and calm him down by talking to him.

He’s been sleeping most of the afternoon and I may be imagining things, but I thought he was more affectionate this evening when he lied down beside me on the couch. As soon as the holidays are over, I’ll contact the vet to see what can be done. My immediate problem is however, that I don’t feel good about leaving him alone even for a few hours. I need to find someone who can be his day-time company, a dog-sitter. I simply can’t bear the thought that he would have another seizure when he was alone at home.

  1. I’m sorry to hear about the seizure. Maybe he’ll be lucky and it will never happen again. I will keep my fingers crossed, anyway. Sending you big hugs.

  3. Oh no!

I hope the vet can offer some help to Loki. That must have been very tough for you to watch.
