It may no be epilepsy, after all. The vet couldn’t say for sure but felt that since Loki hadn’t shown the most typical symptoms, I should monitor him closely for the next few weeks. Level of activity, does he seem stressed out etc.
Today he wasn’t racing around like he normally does when off the leash, but at least we’ve managed three walks without any more incidents today!

I will definitely look into it, because I don’t ever again want to see him this frightened. I have friends who sedate their dog every New Years and others who go to their (remote) cabin to avoid fireworks…

Those fireworks gave him a bad scare, and then he gave us a bad scare! I truly hope this is the end of the trouble.
Will it be possible to to give him anti-anxiety meds next year when the fireworks come out again?
