The cartesting season is in full swing, with tracks on every lake around town.

Yes, those lines behind the island are tracks where something or other is being tested under extreme conditions. Each major car maker have their own tracks and manufacturers of different components (brakes and whatever - you name it) are renting space from local companies, both in garages and on tracks. It’s huge anyhow, there isn’t a hotel room to be had in town from now until Easter. Many families move to cottages, motorhomes and trailer – to rent out their homes for princely sums.

As an added bonus all these engineers, drivers and support staff from all over the world gets to share views like this. Or, we who live here year-round lets them share with us.
