Does anyone else remember frames like these?
To my regret (then) I couldn’t wear glasses like that – they didn’t fit over my high cheekbones…
This must have been 1982 when I lived in this fantastic but shabby apartment from the early parts of the century. It was almost dead center in Winnipeg and most of the tenants were Boat People from Vietnam, single mothers and a few older people who had lived there since before the 50′s. My apartment was on the second floor and the living room overlooked a fire station, a church and some olod warehouses. No need for curtains in front of the high sash windows…
Yes, that’s a cigarette in the bottom left corner… How COULD we smoke indoors back in those days?

I do remember those. I hated every minute of that smoking indoors–it turned out that I was allergic, but nobody ever considered such a thing in the seventies.
